ABOUT US

Kepplewray Venture is an activity holiday for school years 7 - 11, run by a team of Christian volunteers.  Some of us have been running this Venture for over 20 years, but we always have new faces on the team, who bring fresh inspiration and bags of creativity, all aimed at giving you the most memorable and enjoyable holiday possible. Many who have grown too old to be members come back to be junior leaders (for whom we run a specially designed helper program), and then go on to serve as fully fledged leaders.

The Kepplewray Centre lies in the south west corner of the Lake District, away from the main tourist centres and set amidst fantastic scenery. The outdoor activities all take place in beautiful surroundings, whether you are canoeing on a lake, climbing a mountain, or visiting the quaint Lakeland village of Hawkshead. The outdoor activities are run to a very high standard by a team of specialist and fully-qualified instructors, based at the Kepplewray Centre. They are trained to ensure that people of all abilities can get involved, stay safe and have tremendous fun. These exciting activities include abseiling down a rock face, building (and racing) a raft, canoeing on Coniston Water, climbing a mountain, bridge jumping and last but by no means least, most people's favourite and unique experience - ghyll scrambling (you just have to give it a go - we promise you won't regret it!).

Back at the Kepplewray Centre we also have loads of exciting activities in store for you, which could be any or all of: slip'n'slide, archery, crate tower stacking, inflatable assault course, barn dance, along with loads of hugely enjoyable team games and competitions. In chill-out time there is always the option of a game of football, table tennis or pool.
